Stressful circumstances

Sometimes, it's quite apparent what causes our inner turmoil, such as moving house, a divorce, losing a job, or the loss of a loved one. In such cases, there is often little we can do to change the situation immediately, and we must patiently wait for better times.

In stressful circumstances, we can support ourselves with so-called adaptogenic herbs. These herbs help us adapt to changing and challenging situations. Well-known adaptogens include Panax ginseng, Eleutherococcus ("Siberian ginseng"), Ashwagandha ("Indian ginseng"), Rhodiola rosea ("ginseng of the 21st century") and Dong Quai (the "female ginseng").

If tension is also present, you can additionally use calming herbs such as valerian. In contrast, for low moods, it is better to use uplifting herbs such as St. John's Wort.
