I have received new bottles of magnesium citrate, with an expiration date of 05-2027. These tablets are white, no longer red, and they are divisible. I wonder if it is indeed magnesium citrate, or if other tablets have been placed in the bottle. The label does list different ingredients. However, there is no mention of 'new formulation'.

Recently, the formulation of this supplement has been changed, which explains why the tablets are now white instead of red, and are divisible. The Magnesium Citrate now contains fewer excipients and fillers. This ensures better efficacy and quality of the product. Magnesium tablets are rather large supplements, therefore it was decided to make the supplement divisible so that they are easier to take.
Does magnesium citrate also help with poor bowel movement?

It has a naturally relaxing effect on the muscles, including those in the digestive tract, which can assist with constipation. I have issues with my oesophagus and am wary of swallowing large pills. May I crush the tablets first? Or chew them before swallowing? Magnesium is alkaline... is the new coating as well?

I have been using magnesium citrate for years and the tablets have always been white. Now I've opened a new jar and the tablets are brown. Is this correct? I would appreciate your response, Kind regards, Sandra van Zuthem

Titanium dioxide used to give supplements and other foods, like icing, chewing gum, liquorice or chocolate with a white coating, their white colour. The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) conducted research on this compound. It was found that it could potentially be harmful when consumed in large quantities. As a result, at Vitaminstore, we have replaced titanium dioxide with red or yellow iron oxide. This is a natural substance and harmless to health.
Which form of magnesium is best for fatigue? The super, citrate, taurate, or bisglycinate?
