Rhodiola Root Extract can be used alongside or instead of Metarelax, and the combination with Orthica's B-100 SR and the New Care multi is fine. Take the multi and the B-100 complex at different times so that the intake of B vitamins is spread throughout the day.

The New Care multi actually provides more than enough B vitamins, so in the long run, it is unnecessary to continue combining it with the B-100. Although B vitamins are indeed useful in stressful situations, it is not the case that mega-doses are mega-relaxing. For most B vitamins, 25 to 50 mg per day is already more than sufficient. Instead of a new pack of B-100, you might be better off choosing rhodiola and/or Valerian Extract. Especially for restlessness, anxiety, and panic attacks, valerian is actually the first choice. Valerian acts on the GABA-A receptors of the nervous system and has a similar effect to Valium (although valerian is much milder and therefore also safer).

It is partly a matter of personal preference. When Rhodiola Root Extract is taken on an empty stomach, the effects will be felt more quickly and clearly. If the capsule is taken with a meal, the active ingredients are released more gradually, resulting in a more spread-out effect throughout the day, with a less pronounced peak.

Some individuals find the effect of rhodiola to be too stimulating (they become temporarily hyper). For them, it is better to take the capsules with a meal. Others find this 'boost' desirable and pleasant, so they can take the capsule on an empty stomach without issue.

This is also true for many other herbs, such as valerian. On an empty stomach, it can provide a deeply relaxing effect within about twenty minutes. On a full stomach, this effect is less immediate and intense, but it lasts longer.

There are no known specific interactions between Rhodiola and contraceptives such as Microgynon 30.
