I can’t swallow them — can they be opened if needed?
On 20 february 2026 by Customer serviceYes, it’s certainly possible to open the softgels. The taste will probably take some getting used to. I’d advise piercing them (with a clean needle) and then squeezing out the liquid. Cutting or snipping them open will result in less controlled release — in other words, it’ll be messy and you’ll lose some of the contents, which would be a shame.
Can this be taken together with blood pressure medication and blood thinners?

With blood pressure medication, it can usually be combined.

Liver contains a lot of folate (the natural form of folic acid). Is that also in these capsules? I don’t see it listed among the ingredients.
On 27 january 2026 by Customer serviceAlthough fresh liver is rich in folate, cod liver oil contains only the fat-soluble vitamins A and D. Folate is water-soluble and therefore does not carry over into fish liver oil. That’s why it’s not shown on the label.
Good day, A good friend gives this supplement to her dog with very good results (joint issues). We also have a dog with the same problems. Can I give this safely? Our dog is a boxer and weighs approximately 38 kg, he is a neutered male. I would appreciate your opinion/expertise. Kind regards, Anneke de Roo

The ingredients do not have a direct impact on blood sugar levels or the effectiveness of metformin.
