I take 4 capsules of this every day. It helps me be regular with my poops.

- The daily serving of 2 capsules provides 1000 mg (1 gram) of psyllium husk fiber.
- This means 1 capsule contains 500 mg (0.5 gram) of fiber.
If your goal is 38 grams of fiber per day, this supplement provides a relatively small contribution (1 gram per 2 capsules). It is meant as a support, not a full replacement for dietary fiber.
Important: When using psyllium, always take it with plenty of water to avoid digestive discomfort.
Can you combine psyllium husk capsules with macrogol, and if so, at what times should you take each for the best effect? I’ve had constipation for a very long time and macrogol on its own doesn’t help enough.

It isn’t always necessary to use both together, and there are a few important points about how and when to take them to optimise the effect and prevent potential problems.
Macrogol
- Usually taken once a day. The effect may be noticeable within 1–2 days.
- Because macrogol works by drawing water into the bowel, it’s important to drink enough throughout the day.
Psyllium fibre
- Psyllium works by absorbing water and forming a gel, making the stool softer and bulkier. Capsules should be taken with a large glass of water (at least 250–300 ml). Typically, psyllium can take 1–3 days before you notice an effect.
This is an example schedule — adjust it based on advice from your doctor/pharmacist:
