For years, a combination of this and a multi has been a staple. It helps maintain hair. It's a building block, so it's necessary. Recently started supplementing with Saw Palmetto and pumpkin seed oil (is the latter worth the hype? I'll test it for another 2 months and then I can say something definitive about it, but it seems to be working).
Initially used Priorin for a very long time, but those pills became too expensive. Now switched to a maintenance dosage with these from Solgar and satisfied with the effect (I don't see any deterioration or difference) and at least no hair loss :-)
I take 2 of these small tablets a day. I didn't expect it, but my hair is falling out less, my nails are growing faster, and NO more spots on my forehead. Wow. I am pleased with this discovery!
Very satisfied with this product. Give it time for the pills to do their work. Visible results after 2 months, almost no more hair loss. I use this product due to hormonal fluctuations (hair loss during pregnancy).
Biotin is really good for hair, but my experience is that 300 mcg per day is not sufficient if you want to see visible results. I have used these pills to gradually increase my daily dosage. Definitely above 1000 mcg, the chance of seeing visible results is high (stronger hair, which makes it look fuller and healthier). But that's my experience; perhaps others notice a difference with 300 or 600 mcg.

My child is 8 years old and has experienced significant hair loss. To support her with the right vitamin complex, I would like to temporarily give her biotin. What is an appropriate dosage for a child under 10 years old, and is this product suitable for her?
On 17 march 2020 by Customer serviceThe general guideline from Vitaminstore is that a child aged 12 can take an adult dosage of vitamins and minerals. From there, you can calculate backwards: a child of 8 years would take 2/3 of the adult dosage. You can also calculate based on weight: an adult dosage is for someone weighing approximately 60 kilograms, and you can work back from there. Since children can vary greatly in weight and build, it’s wise to take that into account. Biotin is a very safe substance, so it doesn’t need to be measured too precisely, and she can comfortably take the full amount of 300 mcg. An even better option for her is the Teen Multi, which also contains 300 mcg of biotin, along with all the other B vitamins that work synergistically with biotin, as well as other essential vitamins and minerals that are important for teenagers. I only take omeprazole (a stomach protector), does this vitamin have any effect on it? Or can I take it without worry?
