Solgar's Cat's Claw 1000 mg (Cat's Claw, Uncaria tomentosa) supports the body's defences.
Cat's Claw is a shrub from South and Central America, where it has been used by indigenous peoples for hundreds of years. Since the 1970s, the herb has been studied by many Western scientists, with promising results.
Each tablet provides 1000 mg of raw, non-standardised inner bark powder.

On 25 june 2013 by Customer serviceThe Cat's Claw 1000 mg contains the whole, unprocessed herb, in a dose of 1000 mg per tablet. These tablets are quite large.
The Cat's Claw Inner Bark Extract contains the same herb, but in the form of an extract, with precisely known amounts of alkaloids and polyphenols. The extract is in capsules, which are somewhat easier to swallow than the tablets.
I have inquired with Solgar about which of the two is stronger in terms of active ingredients. The answer to that question is still being looked up. As soon as I have more information, I will let you know via email.
