Protein powder
Protein consists of amino acids, which the body uses to support the recovery and growth of muscle tissue. Although there are countless foods that contain protein, many of them are not easily digestible. Athletes, however, sometimes require a quickly absorbable source of amino acids, such as right after a workout. For this purpose, various protein powders have been developed, including those based on soy, egg, and milk protein. Of all the protein powders, whey protein is particularly easily digestible.
