Borage oil

Borage oil, like evening primrose oil, contains the omega-6 fatty acid GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). The seeds of the borage plant (Borago officinalis) are particularly rich in this fatty acid. As these seeds naturally have a higher percentage of GLA than evening primrose seeds, GLA supplements based on borage are significantly more economical and usually also higher dosed. For instance, Solgar's Super Starflower Oil contains as much as 300 mg of GLA per capsule.

Nutritional supplements based on borage and evening primrose oil can be used for exactly the same purposes.
