Borage oil

Borage oil, like evening primrose oil, contains the omega-6 fatty acid GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). The seeds of borage (Borago officinalis) are particularly rich in this fatty acid. Because these seeds naturally contain a higher percentage of GLA than evening primrose seeds, GLA supplements based on borage are considerably better value and usually also higher dosed. For instance, Solgar’s Super Starflower Oil contains no less than 300 mg of GLA per capsule.

Food supplements based on borage and evening primrose oil can be used for exactly the same purposes.
