Multi Natal Active provides as many vitamins and minerals as possible in a natural, biologically well-absorbable form. For example, the vitamin B complex is supplemented with choline, PABA, and inositol. The same applies to vitamin E, which is accompanied by natural mixed tocopherols. Finally, vitamin C is accompanied by a bioflavonoid complex.

Are these capsules suitable for vegans?

Good morning, we would like to conceive and I have received the multivitamin from Bonusan from my orthomolecular therapist. However, this seems to be less well-known and less commonly used than the Prena Fem capsules from Orthica. I notice that Bonusan contains more chromium, but no omega-3 (which is present in Orthica). The quantities do differ quite a bit. Therefore, I am uncertain about which multivitamin I should choose?

It is certainly convenient if they are included, as it means you do not have to take them separately, but the downside is that it is a liquid substance, which means the multivitamin must be in gelatin softgel capsules.
Furthermore, the two are reasonably comparable. As is typical, certain ingredients in one formula are dosed higher while others are lower. The difference in chromium dosages is not particularly large. The Prena Fem is clearly dosed higher for a number of important ingredients, namely iodine, beta-carotene (a precursor to vitamin A), vitamin D, and folate.
The Prena Fem does not provide calcium, as this mineral takes up a lot of space and they wanted to keep it a 2-per-day formula. Moreover, most people already consume sufficient calcium through their daily diet. The Bonusan Multi Natal Actief contains 200 mg of calcium and 100 mg of magnesium (whereas the Prena Fem contains 50 mg of magnesium).
If you would like to use the Prena Fem and have concerns about your calcium and magnesium intake, you could potentially combine it with 1 to 3 tablets of the Calcium Magnesium Citrate.
If you prefer the Multi Natal Actief, you could combine it with the Super Fish Oil.
