I use this for my 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter, and for ourselves, on the advice of our homeopath. Absolutely delighted with it. Fewer colds for the little ones and it tastes good too.
Tastes pleasantly fresh; I often add it to smoothies or a juice for an extra vitamin C boost. For standalone intake, I prefer tablets, as I find it inconvenient to have to dissolve the powder in water or another drink each time. However, it is certainly ideal for those (and children) who cannot or do not want to take pills.

On 25 november 2018 by Customer serviceAs a maintenance dosage for a 2-year-old child, approximately 100 mg of vitamin C is more than sufficient. This powder consists of 75% vitamin C. Therefore, you can give the child about 130 mg of powder, which is roughly 1/7 of the measuring scoop. This will correspond to a pinch of ascorbate powder.
The Vitamin Advisory Bureau recommends a guideline of 25 to 30 mg per day for children aged 1 to 3 years. If we take the higher end of 30 mg, this corresponds to 1/25 of the measuring scoop. To weigh out 30 mg, you would need to use a precise milligram scale.
Please keep in mind that the powder is sensitive to moisture. If you only use the packaging for your child, it will take far too long for the jar to be emptied, and the contents may turn into a hard lump after a few months. If only the child is using the vitamin C, it is best to use an empty container alongside it, where you can keep a week's supply, so you do not have to open the original jar daily. This will help maintain its longevity. Always open the jar with dry hands and in a dry environment.
Try to empty the jar within approximately six months (with the recommended dosage of 2000 mg per day on the label, the jar will last for 4 months).

The exact shelf life, therefore, depends on the humidity of the air when you open the jar and how often you open it. If you were to take one gram from this jar daily, and follow the above tips, the contents will certainly remain good for at least 250 days (8.5 months).
