Is Folate from Solgar the same as Folacin?

Can you take folic acid throughout the entire pregnancy?

On 09 october 2019 by Customer serviceYes, a 12-year-old can use this supplement without concern. The dosage (400 mcg) is not an issue, and if a deficiency has recently been identified, he may even take a double dose for a few weeks.
In the long term, it is advisable that he obtains all his folic acid from leafy greens and other sources of folate. A healthy, varied diet provides sufficient folic acid.
Is it safe to take these tablets during pregnancy, or should you consider purchasing a different option?

The newer Folate 400 mcg from Solgar is preferred in this regard. The Folate contains Metafolin, the active form of folic acid.
