Active Folic Acid contains a powerful combination of biologically active folate and vitamin B12. Folate is the natural form of vitamin B11 and is directly absorbed by your body. Is it permissible to take two of these per day?
On 31 october 2024 by Customer serviceFor the Vitaminstore Folic Acid Folate 400 mcg lozenges, it is generally recommended to take one lozenge per day. This is the advised daily amount for adults, as recommended by the Health Council.
Taking two per day is not necessarily harmful, but it is usually unnecessary, and your body may not absorb the extra folic acid. If you believe you need more folic acid, we recommend discussing this with your doctor or midwife.
Hello, your vegan multivitamin also contains 400mcg of folic acid. If you are planning a pregnancy, do you still need to take these tablets additionally, or is your multivitamin sufficient? Regards.

It will just take a little longer for the folic acid to be absorbed as it must first pass through the digestive tract. When the tablets are dissolved, the folic acid is absorbed more quickly by the body via the large blood vessels in the mouth.
Hello! Why is this product actually in such a large pot with so much cotton? Can you simply remove the cotton when you start using it? With the cotton inside, it's difficult to get the tablets out of the pot.

These tablets provide only the folate in a dose of 400 mcg. As a maintenance dosage, that is more than sufficient. Combining with B12 is not necessarily required.
If you would prefer to take 400 mcg of folate again, you can use the Folate 400 mcg from Vitals.
