I was prescribed this following an examination by an orthomolecular therapist, and it helps me relax when experiencing muscle tension.
Used for supporting muscles and relaxation
I occasionally switch to magnesium, but I always find myself coming back to this product. It simply works well.
Fine product that helps me and adds extra magnesium.

As MyoCalm is no longer available, I am looking for a replacement. Does Metarelax have the same properties, and will it provide me with the necessary calmness in my body as MyoCalm did?

MyoCalm also contained magnesium and possibly other relaxing substances, so its effects may be similar. You might consider trying it to see if this product has the same effect.

Why does this product still contain 500% of the recommended daily allowance of B12? That seems far too much. There is now research indicating that an excessive amount of vitamin B12 can increase the risk of earlier mortality.
On 01 september 2023 by Customer serviceIt is true that MetaRelax tablets contain a high dosage of vitamin B12. However, this dosage is based on the notion that not the entire amount is absorbed by the body and any excess of vitamin B12, if in the bio-active form, is quickly excreted via urine.
It is important to know that vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin, which means that your body generally excretes the excess through urine. This makes the chance of a vitamin B12 overdose small. However, a general maximum safe dose for vitamin B12 has not been established. The amount that is safe can vary depending on factors such as age and health.
The use of MetaRelax is safe. We always recommend following the suggested dosage on the supplement's packaging and consulting a healthcare professional if you are considering taking a higher dose, especially if you have health issues or are taking medications.

I've understood that you need to combine magnesium with calcium for absorption in the body. Is magnesium absorbed just as well without calcium as with it?

Inorganic magnesium supplements are those where a non-natural compound has been created. Upon intake, a mineral competition can occur in the body. This hinders the absorption of magnesium and can cause various complaints.
The best form of magnesium is one bound to an amino acid (building block of proteins) or to citric acid. These are very well absorbed in our bodies. You can think of magnesium bisglycinate, magnesium malate, magnesium citrate, or glycerophosphate.
