Very happy, lovely product with a nice, swift delivery. Neat little jar
Prompt and accurate delivery. Nothing to fault. Pleasant to use (easy to swallow, no odd taste).
Great product with the active form of folic acid. Small capsules that are easy to take.
Good formula, nice ingredients, but the packaging could be better. Fairly large glass jar which is filled to about 1/5. I've often noticed that jars are half-filled, but this takes the biscuit. Smaller jars could be packaged and transported more efficiently/environmentally friendly.
Good and healthy stuff, without all sorts of (unhealthy) additives! And it works really well, I notice a difference.

I know that during pregnancy extra folic acid and vitamin D are needed, but if you eat healthily otherwise (including meat), is this composition useful for me? Is it dangerous to, for instance, consume too much B12 or iron?
On 10 january 2021 by Customer serviceNo, it is not dangerous. There are no known adverse effects from an excessive intake of vitamin B12. Therefore, an upper limit has not been established. Additionally, a pregnant woman has an increased need for iron, although the exact amount is not known. We always advise taking a Pregnancy Multi that includes the entire B complex because folic acid is a B vitamin and B vitamins have a strong synergy with each other. This way, you maintain a better balance. A good alternative would be the Essential Organics' Complete Pregnancy supplement.
Hello, I've purchased biologically active folic acid and now I see this product. Can these be combined?

The Pregnancy Essentials contains the same dosage of folic acid, along with other vitamins and minerals important for pregnancy. If you're looking for a complete multivitamin, it's best to opt for the Pregnancy Complete.
Is it possible to open the capsules so that the contents can be dissolved in (or at least added to) a liquid to take the vitamin this way?

Can these vitamins be used as prenatal or only when you are pregnant?

On the advice of the midwife, I need to take an additional 1000 mcg of calcium during my pregnancy. However, the calcium vitamins also contain extra vitamin D3, and/or magnesium or zinc. Which calcium vitamins would you recommend if I want to combine them with Pregnancy Complete or Pregnancy Essentials?

Those who eat a varied diet do not need to take calcium tablets during pregnancy. Nuts, seeds, legumes, vegetables, fruit, and dairy all provide calcium.
Vitamin D3 is necessary for the absorption of calcium from food. And since deficiencies in vitamin D are quite common in the Netherlands, using a supplement that provides this vitamin, or better yet, a comprehensive pregnancy multivitamin like the Pregnancy Complete, is certainly recommended. The Pregnancy Complete provides 15 micrograms of vitamin D3 per daily dosage of 2 capsules. You can safely take additional vitamin D from a calcium formula alongside this, as the safe upper limit for vitamin D is 100 mcg per day.
For instance, when combined with the Calcium Citrate D3 (4 tablets provide 1000 mg of calcium), the total amount of vitamin D would be 35 mcg per day, which is an excellent dose. Alternatively, with the Calcium Citrate from Solgar (also 4 tablets), you would achieve a total of 30 mcg of D3 per day. Of course, you can also take half the dosage of any of these formulas, which would be 500 mg of calcium.
