Pregnancy CompleteEssential Organics Puur
During pregnancy, your body is constantly at work. It's busy changing, busy providing your child with what it needs. As a result, the need for nutrients changes. A healthy lifestyle where you don't miss out on vitamins, minerals, or fatty acids is more important now than ever.
If you want to be sure that your body and your baby's are getting everything they need at this moment, you can opt for a multivitamin. This supplement provides you with the nutrients that are normally required, but tailored to the needs of both of you at this time.
This supplement contains only rice as an excipient. The capsule is made of pullulan and is therefore suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

For me, it is a beneficial addition to a healthy diet to support during pregnancy.
Unique composition with a pleasant form of folic acid. Very satisfied with it, I've been taking these for a long time.
The vitamins are easy to swallow and have no aftertaste. So far, according to my periodic blood tests, they seem to be effective.
I've been using this multi since September, but after a blood test, I'm very disappointed. I preferred organic, but this one doesn't really work well.
took this during pregnancy and was satisfied with it
Vegetable and fruit extracts
To enhance absorption, vegetable and fruit extracts have been added to the supplement. This allows the body to better recognise the nutrient, resulting in improved absorption by the body.
Benefits:
• Dosage of vitamins and minerals fully according to the reference intake for pregnant women
• Biologically active folic acid as Quatrefolic® 400 μg (recommended by midwives and the Health Council)
• Vitamin C as calcium ascorbate (a non-acidic vitamin C, also known as Ester-C)
• Vitamin D3 added
• Most absorbable form of iron, Ferronyl®
• Folic acid contributes to the growth of the child during pregnancy
• B vitamins contribute to extra energy in case of fatigue
• PlantCaps® made from pullulan derived from tapioca (cassava plant)
• Only rice as an excipient
• Vegetable and fruit extracts added for better absorption

Hello! I read that this supplement contains only rice as an excipient. Since rice contains arsenic, I wonder if it's actually good to use this supplement daily and for the long term? Thanks in advance!
While rice can naturally contain small amounts of arsenic, the rice used in dietary supplements is highly controlled and purified. This allows you to use the product for the long term.
Good evening, I've been taking this multi for half a year now. I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and continue to take it. This is also because it provides me with 400 mcg of folate per day. This is listed on your website as the best absorbable form. Now, someone just sent me an article from Lareb.nl stating that folic acid is preferred because more research has been conducted on it, and not on folate. This has made me anxious. I have no idea whether I've been taking the right thing during these first weeks of my pregnancy. Furthermore, I had another question about vitamin D. I've been taking 25 mcg per day for quite some time. In December, my blood level was 54. In addition to this pregnancy multi, I still take the extra 25 mcg separately. This amounts to a total of 40 mcg per day. Is this a safe amount during pregnancy? Thank you in advance, A concerned pregnant woman
Folate is preferred over folic acid because folic acid must first be converted in the liver into the bioactive form, folate. This makes folate not only more effective but also more quickly absorbed. Both forms belong to the B vitamins, and any excess amounts are excreted through urine.
Regarding the vitamin D. The acceptable upper limit is 100 mcg per day. You can safely use the supplements.
I see these multivitamins for pregnancy contain papaya leaf extract. Is this safe for pregnant women? I've read some research suggesting it's advisable to avoid papaya leaf extract during pregnancy.
Pregnant Complete can be used safely. The amount of papaya leaf in the supplement is negligible and will not adversely affect pregnancy.
During pregnancy, I am curious if an additional vitamin D supplement (Solgar 1000 IU) would be appropriate with this, as I am not often exposed to sunlight. Previously, I took LucoVitaal Super Visolie Omega 3 before becoming pregnant. Which omega 3 would be suitable to use alongside this? Are there other brands you might recommend?
Pregnant Complete contains an adequate amount of vitamin D. If your vitamin D levels are low, additional supplementation may be required, but opt for a supplement with a lower dosage of 400 IU (10 mcg).
This multi contains 800 mg of beta-carotene. Isn't that quite a lot? On lareb.nl, I read: Safe intake At high intakes of antioxidants, undesirable effects can occur that are the opposite of a normal antioxidant effect. This is called a pro-oxidant effect. This also applies to beta-carotene. The safe intake of beta-carotene from food and dietary supplements is 15 milligrams per day. How does this work?
Thank you for your question. You're right; it's important to be cautious with the intake of certain nutrients. However, the 800 mg you mentioned is a mistake. Essential Organics Pure - Pregnant Complete contains 800 μg of beta-carotene, not 800 mg. That's a factor of 1000 difference.
The 800 μg in this supplement corresponds to 1333.33 IU (International Units) or 0.8 mg, which is well within the safe intake of 15 mg per day.
