Glutamine
L-glutamine is available as a loose powder and in capsules. The powder dissolves well, has a neutral, slightly sweet taste, and is relatively more economical than L-glutamine in capsules.
Additional Information
Glutamine is an amino acid found in our daily diet (in dairy, eggs, meat, grains, and vegetables) and can also be produced by our own body. Therefore, glutamine is considered a non-essential amino acid. However, there are situations where the intake of extra glutamine is desirable. For this reason, glutamine is sometimes referred to as a semi-essential amino acid.
Glutamine is available in capsules and as a loose powder. Those who wish to consume larger quantities of glutamine, for example, three times a day four grams (a common dose among strength and endurance athletes), are better off taking the loose powder as it is much more economical. Moreover, glutamine dissolves well in water and has a fairly neutral taste.
