Like other amino acids, glutamine is important for the building of proteins, including muscle tissue. Many athletes, therefore, supplement their diet with extra glutamine.
In our intestines, glutamine is primarily consumed by the mucosa cells.
Glutamine is officially classified as a non-essential amino acid because our body can produce it itself, but under certain circumstances (such as intense exertion), it can be considered essential.

I have used L-Glutamine from Orthica before and I am very satisfied.
Price/quality ratio is absolutely good. This product is the most natural of all glutamine.
Proteins are the main components of all living organisms. Composed of amino acids, they are the building blocks of cells, antibodies, enzymes, and many body substances. Most of the body’s protein is found in muscle tissue, as well as in hair and nails.
There are 23 different amino acids that the body needs to function, of which eight are considered essential. These eight amino acids cannot be produced by the human body and are therefore a necessary part of the daily diet. The remaining 15 amino acids can be formed in the body from, among other things, other amino acids.
In nature, only the so-called L-form of amino acids occurs. In good amino acid supplements, only this form will be used; it is the form that the body naturally handles best. The amino acids used are in the so-called free form. They are not part of a protein. This allows for better absorption.
