As you age, you should do something for your bones
get well informed, highly recommended!
I alternate this with another brand's Bone Formula, as I believe it's more effective than using the same brand for years on end. I use it to keep my bones strong and to hopefully prevent osteoporosis. Research has shown that dairy products are not a good source of calcium. Besides, I don't consume dairy, as I'm vegan.
These tablets seem excellent, though of course you can't really see if they're working.

For a while now, I've been taking Super Magnesium, 2 tablets a day, due to my daily intake of Pantoprazole 40 mg (because of an oesophageal inflammation). My question is whether, by using Super Magnesium and the Bone Formula, I'm not getting too much magnesium. Or is this actually fine?
On 12 may 2023 by Customer serviceYou can use them together, as your medication means you also require more magnesium. It's important to take magnesium spread throughout the day. If your stools become loose, then you're getting too much magnesium. The advice is to switch from 2 Super Magnesium tablets to 1 Super Magnesium tablet, along with the Bone Formula.
I notice on your Bot Formula that it should be taken 3 times a day with meals. However, according to my pharmacist, calcium can negatively affect iron absorption and they recommend NOT taking it with meals. What would be the best course of action?
On 10 november 2023 by Customer serviceIt is true that calcium can reduce the absorption of non-haem iron from food. This form of iron is primarily found in plant-based foods. However, calcium does not affect the absorption of haem iron, which is only found in animal products.
If you're concerned about iron absorption, you might choose to take calcium supplements at a different time than your iron supplement or iron-rich meal. It may also help to take vitamin C with a meal or supplement containing non-haem iron, as vitamin C can enhance the absorption of this type of iron.
When you combine this product with the multi prena fem from Orthica, won't you be getting too much vitamin D?
On 03 october 2021 by Customer serviceThe Vitaminstore bone formula contains 25mcg and the prena fem from Orthica also contains 25mcg of vitamin D3. That's 50mcg per day. Considering the dark winter months, this is certainly not too much. Vitamin D3 is produced through the skin via sunlight, but during the winter months, this is often not possible. Therefore, we advise taking a slightly higher dose of vitamin D3.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA European Food Safety Authority ) advises a maximum of 100 micrograms of vitamin D per day for adults, which is considered safe. If you're still unsure whether you're getting too much, you can always have a blood test to determine your vitamin D3 levels.
The tablets are quite large. May I halve them and swallow them like that?
