Based on the recent food consumption survey, the average intake of people over fifty in the Netherlands was examined, and their needs were reassessed based on current scientific insights. This has led to a reduction in B vitamins, still achieving ample dosages. There is also still ample provision for the increased need for folate and vitamin B12. Additionally, the amount of choline has been increased from 25 mg to 85 mg. Important for normal lipid metabolism, homocysteine metabolism, and normal liver function. Vitamin D3 has been increased from 25 mcg to 35 mcg and is now from a plant source. 45 mcg of vitamin K1 has been added, and vitamin K2 has been increased from 40 to 90 mcg. Calcium has been increased from 30 mg to 150 mg and magnesium from 30 mg to 100 mg. Additionally, a proven stable form of vitamin K2 (K2Vital® Delta) is used. And these now come from a natural source, from the sea (Aquamin®). Finally, in addition to the special nutrients silicon, boron, Q10, alpha-lipoic acid, and pterostilbene, lutein and zeaxanthin, meso-zeaxanthin and PQQ have now also been added to the multi.

B vitamins in optimal forms and dosages
Every Day 50+ Capsules contain 150 mcg of vitamin B12 in the biologically active forms of methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin (also called dibencozide), as well as 300 mcg of active folate. In this multi, the superior form of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate bound to glucosamine salt (Quatrefolic®) is used. The binding with glucosamine salt allows the biologically active form to remain stable and ensures optimal absorbability. The advantage of these active forms of B12 and folate is that they can be used directly by the body and do not need to be converted first.

High dosages of vitamin D3 and K2
Vitamin K helps ensure that calcium ends up in the right place, in the bones. This is important for this age group. Every Day 50+ contains 45 mcg of K1 (phytomenadione) and no less than 90 mcg of vitamin K2. Vitamin D is also important for the bones but has a much broader scope and also has a beneficial effect on, among other things, resistance, muscle function, and normal cell division. Given the great importance and many beneficial properties of vitamin D, one tablet therefore contains a high dosage of 35 mcg of vitamin D3.

Support for eye condition and special additions
Every Day 50+ also contains vitamin A, vitamin B2, and zinc, which help maintain sharp vision, and higher dosages of lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin have been added. Finally, the special substances Q10, alpha-lipoic acid, pterostilbene, and PQQ have been added.
