I've been buying it for years. I'll stick with this brand.
Since our children were 3 years old, they have been taking these vitamins daily. The capsule is easy to open, allowing me to add the powder to their yoghurt.
I have the impression that these are natural capsules. I've heard from friends who are more into natural products that it's a good brand, and my children, despite the time of year, are doing well without [...], although they do receive some additional supplements. So, that's a win-win in these strange times. For me, it's highly recommended.
Super product. The little ones take it so easily. No unpleasant taste. And it gives a great boost to their immunity!

Dear, from what age can I use this? Is it suitable for a child of 1 year? If so, how much per day?

Dear, is this capsule easy to open and can the contents be mixed with lukewarm follow-on milk or yoghurt, for a child of nearly 2? Additionally, I use the children's probiotic from Viridian. Thank you for your response!
On 31 march 2025 by Customer serviceYes, these small capsules can be very easily opened by twisting the two halves apart.
It is best to mix the powder with a small amount of yoghurt or porridge. Vitamins and minerals have a relatively strong smell and taste, so do not mix it with an entire bottle of milk, as the child will likely refuse the whole bottle. Instead, mix it with a small amount of milk, or for example, a spoonful of yoghurt, so that it can be consumed in one or two sips or bites. Mixing with yoghurt will probably be more agreeable than mixing with milk.
From this perspective, and also considering the amount of vitamin D in the product (only 7 mcg per capsule and in the form of D2, which must first be converted to D3 in the body) and the absence of vitamin A, it might be better to give the child the Animal Parade Baby Plex drops. The Baby Plex provides the recommended daily dose of 10 mcg of vitamin D for young children, in the form of D3 (immediately absorbable). The Baby Plex also provides vitamin A (450 mcg) and approximately the same amount of vitamin C (44 mg). It has a much more pleasant taste than the contents of the Viridian capsules. The downside is that it is less comprehensive.
Another option is the Kinder D Multi Liquid from Optimax. This is also suitable for children around 2 years old, with 10 mcg of vitamin D3, 562 mcg of vitamin A, plus various other vitamins and minerals. However, this formula lacks vitamin C, due to the taste (vitamin C is very sour). You could combine the Kinder D Multi with the Liposomal Vitamin C (a liquid product), in a dose of half a millilitre. This would then provide 100 mg of vitamin C per day.
Combining with the Viridian probiotics is perfectly fine. This probiotic powder is easier to mix with, for example, milk, as it is virtually odourless and tasteless. It is slightly acidic due to the 50 mg of vitamin C that a 1 gram serving provides.

The iodine content is also fine, and instead of vitamin A, the formula contains the safe precursor of vitamin A, beta-carotene. The amount of vitamin D is a bit low: 7.5 mcg, whereas the recommendation for children up to 4 years is at least 10 mcg. Therefore, it is advisable to combine it with the ViridiKid™ (Vegan) Vitamin D3 400 IU (10µg) .

The Viridikid multivitamin/minerals mini does not list any nuts or seeds. Therefore, this product is free from these allergens.

The multivitamin does contain vitamin B3, but in such a low dose (5 mg) that flushing is impossible. A flush is only triggered by an intake of at least 100 mg on an empty stomach (for a child, it may occur with an intake of around 50 mg, but certainly not with 5 mg).
