Can I take 600 mg per day for chronic migraine, or is the maximum daily dose always 400 mg?

If you notice that your stools become looser, it indicates that the amount is too high, and you might consider reducing it to 5 or 4 tablets per day. Another option is the Magnesium bisglycinate from Vitaminstore. As the magnesium is bound to the amino acid glycine, it is better tolerated by the stomach and has a positive effect on the nervous system and thereby the brain.
Can I break the capsules? They're mega large

If you find this a hassle, you might consider switching to Magnesium Chewable Tablets or magnesium capsules. The capsules can also be opened and mixed with, for example, yoghurt, water, or juice.
