The oil feels lovely on my skin and absorbs well. I'm not entirely sure about its effectiveness against stretch marks, but I haven't been using it for long enough to tell.
lovely skin oil, I know of no better
BioOil is ideal for use on your skin. It quickly heals small wounds, can reduce the appearance of scars, but above all, it is wonderfully spreadable, and your skin becomes significantly softer and more flexible, as if it can handle more!
I have been using bio oil for 3 months now and my skin feels wonderful. The oil is nice and thick but absorbs quickly. I had an outbreak of eczema on my shin, applied bio oil, and within a week the worst of it was over.
Smells nice, spreads well, not greasy, suitable for both face and body. I'm a fan :-) I don't know if it works wonders, as I haven't been using it long enough and I only use it once a day (not the prescribed twice). I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their skin in good condition.
Bio Oil helps to reduce the appearance of all types of scars. It is also highly effective in maintaining the elasticity of scar tissue on joints and other areas where there is a lot of movement.
Stretch Marks
Bio Oil is very effective at improving the appearance of existing stretch marks. Bio Oil increases the elasticity of the skin, reducing the likelihood of new stretch marks forming.
It is estimated that 75-90% of women are prone to stretch marks during pregnancy, particularly during the second and third trimesters. The likelihood of developing stretch marks varies and is influenced by skin type, race, age, diet, and skin hydration levels.
Uneven Skin Tone
Bio Oil reduces the appearance of uneven skin tone caused by hormonal fluctuations, skin-lightening products, or excessive sun exposure. Uneven skin tone becomes more pronounced during pregnancy, menopause, and after exposure to high amounts of UV light.
Elastic and Firm Skin
Sagging and wrinkled skin is often associated with ageing. A sagging and wrinkled appearance is primarily caused by the weakening of collagen and elastin structures in the dermis. Bio Oil contains numerous ingredients that make the skin more elastic, leaving it feeling softer, smoother, and suppler. This helps to counteract the effects of sagging and wrinkles.
Bio Oil is moisturising, which improves the texture, tone, and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Bio Oil also replenishes the skin's natural oils that are stripped away by factors such as:
- Frequent bathing/washing with harsh soaps
- Excessive perspiration
- Weather conditions including exposure to sun and wind
- Central heating and air conditioning
- Poor diet and/or insufficient water intake

Massage Bio Oil in a circular motion into the scar and surrounding skin twice a day for a minimum period of 3 months to achieve the desired result.
Recent scars have a better chance of improvement in a shorter time frame, but older scars also benefit from regular use of Bio Oil.
Apply Bio Oil to dry skin immediately after bathing or showering. Allow the oil to be fully absorbed by the skin before dressing.
Bio Oil should only be used on new scars once the wound has healed. Bio Oil should never be used on broken skin.
Intended for external use only.
Discontinue use if any skin irritation occurs.
