This product has been my favourite choice for years! Helma
The whole family is delighted with this product; the taste is very good.
Finally, an omega product that doesn’t cause burping! And the taste is excellent! I even enjoy making salad dressing with it!
We have been using this omega-3 for years whenever there's an 'r' in the month, and we are very satisfied with it. The mild lemon flavour makes it easy to swallow.
The composition does provide the right amount of DHA and EPA combined with vitamin E. The taste is also fine, not unpleasant at all.

*Note: The manufacturer has recently changed the packaging to "from 3 years" whereas it was previously "from 6 months". This is not because there are substances in the oil that are unsuitable for younger children, nor because the amounts of vitamins A and D are too high, but because the manufacturer believes it is better not to let young children get used to a flavouring too early. As a parent, you can therefore choose whether or not you find this variant suitable for your child. The new age limit of 3 years is not based on legally required guidelines.

I see that Moller's uses the non-natural variant of vitamin E: dl-α-tocopheryl acetate. The absorption is quite different then. How harmful is this for health?
It is true that Möller's Omega-3 Lemon contains the form dl-α-tocopheryl acetate of vitamin E. This is a synthetic form of vitamin E, which is less well absorbed than the natural form.
That said, it is important to note that "less well absorbed" is not the same as "harmful". There is no evidence to suggest that taking dl-α-tocopheryl acetate would be harmful to health. In fact, this form of vitamin E is often used in dietary supplements due to its stability and long shelf life.
The vitamin E in Möller's Omega-3 Lemon ensures that the omega-3 fatty acids do not oxidise.
Naturally, if you prefer a supplement with natural vitamin E, there are other options available.
Is the dosage for adults the same as for young children?
The dosage is the same for adults and children from 3 years old, 1 dessert spoon per day.
Hello, is it safe to take the Moller in combination with the Vitals Every Day Mama when trying to conceive? I read that both the Moller and Vitals contain vitamin K, and I don't want to consume too much of it. Thanks in advance.
The Mollers Omega-3 Lemon and the Vitals Every Day Mama both contain vitamin A. If you take both products, you will reach a total of 900 mcg of vitamin A per day. This does not yet include the vitamin A you obtain from food. During pregnancy, vitamin A can be used in the recommended dosage of 800 micrograms per day (2640 IU). No harmful effects have been observed with use up to 3000 micrograms or 10,000 IU per day.
Both products can be used together, but do ensure you always inform your midwife about the use of supplements if you are pregnant.
I often have a question about whether your urine or breath starts to smell when taking these kinds of vitamins or supplements. Is that the case here as well?
As far as is known, omega 3 fatty acids do not cause your breath or urine to smell. This is often different with, for example, B vitamins. Since these vitamins are water-soluble and excreted through urine.
Can this product be taken during pregnancy?
Yes, it can. Möller’s cod liver oil is rich in vitamin D and the essential omega-3 fatty acid DHA. Vitamin D is important for the absorption of calcium, which supports the baby's bone development. Möller’s cod liver oil provides the daily recommended amount of vitamin D for pregnant women, which is 10 micrograms per day.
The omega-3 fatty acid DHA contributes to the development of the brain, nervous system, and vision functions of your baby (this beneficial effect occurs with a daily intake by the mother of 200 mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of 250 mg EPA/DHA).
Möller’s cod liver oil also contains 250 micrograms of vitamin A per daily dose. This is a safe and desirable amount for pregnant women and during breastfeeding. Vitamin A plays an important role in the growth of the foetus. Sufficient vitamin A during pregnancy is therefore important. The recommended daily amount is increased from 800 to 1,000 micrograms of vitamin A during pregnancy. Due to the increased need, it is important not to be too cautious with vitamin A intake. The maximum safe dose for pregnant women is 3,000 micrograms per day. Bear this in mind in your diet. Foods high in vitamin A include liver, pâté, and liverwurst. For example, a slice of liver pâté contains about 350 micrograms of vitamin A.
