Good product in terms of ingredients. I never notice effects from it quickly or strongly. I take it in combination with magnesium every evening for balance.

Should you spread the tablets throughout the day, or can you take all 3 at once? I fear I will forget them if I don’t take them all at once. I am trying to conceive and will soon start taking Elke Dag Mama from Vitals alongside this. I am torn between this and the Calcium Magnesium Citrate from Solgar. How much magnesium should I supplement if I choose this one?
On 13 december 2024 by Customer serviceThe tablets do not need to be spread out over the day. It is a three-per-day formula because this amount of calcium cannot fit into one tablet.
Whether it is necessary to take additional calcium and magnesium during pregnancy completely depends on your dietary habits. If you belong to the relatively small group of Dutch people who consume a lot of vegetables, fruit, legumes, nuts, and seeds, and also regularly eat dairy and meat, then there is no need to take extra calcium and magnesium.
The concerning reports that were circulated by the media a few weeks ago were about the average Dutch citizen, who typically has a very one-sided and unhealthy diet (too many grain products, too few vegetables).
If you are already relatively enthusiastic about healthy eating (and many of our customers are), then Elke Dag Mama is sufficient. However, you could comfortably add 1 to 3 tablets of CalAsorb alongside it and, for example, 200 mg of magnesium in the form of Magnesium Citrate (1 tablet). Or if you want to take both, the Calcium Magnesium Citrate at a dose of 2 to 3 tablets per day. Whatever your body does not need will be effortlessly excreted.
Since calcium and magnesium absorb stomach acid, it is better not to take them at the same time as the multivitamin (as they can interfere with the absorption of certain nutrients) but at a different time, for example in the evening.
