Is it permissible to take the milk thistle complex during the breastfeeding period? It is often found in teas that can increase milk production.
On 17 november 2021 by Customer serviceMilk thistle itself can be used during breastfeeding. However, the milk thistle complex also contains other substances such as curcuma longa. The effects of curcuma longa on breastfeeding are not known. Therefore, we advise against taking the milk thistle complex while breastfeeding.
It's a pity that it contains soy... this is often GMO (or can you guarantee that it does not come from China or America?)... many people, especially women, are allergic to soy... Why is it necessary for there to be soy lecithin in it? Kind regards, Alexandra

Lecithin is a complex of lipids, without any proteins in it. Therefore, the chance of an allergic reaction is negligible, although we do mention in bold letters on the label that the formula contains soy, so that individuals can take precautions.
Lecithin is an emulsifier and supports the absorption of curcumin in this formula (black pepper extract has been added for the same purpose).
The main component of lecithin, phosphatidylcholine, also plays a role in the liver. For legal reasons (claim legislation), we cannot extensively describe the benefits of lecithin, but it has been deliberately included in this formula.
This supplement is produced in the Netherlands. The soy, sourced from Europe, is non-GMO.
