There are 2 types of silicon used in supplements, namely orthosilicic acid (OSA) and elemental silicon. Orthosilicic acid is a type of silicon that the body can easily absorb. Elemental silicon is pure silicon, as found in sand and stones. This form cannot be absorbed by your body, just as your body cannot digest stones.
For an effective supplement, we use orthosilicic acid, as your body can truly utilise it. Elemental silicon does not work in the body and therefore has no effect.

Hello, I've just received this product but I can't find how it should be stored and how long it will last once opened. I'd love to know! Thanks in advance.

My question concerns the time interval between taking liquid silicon and drinking water. As soon as I wake up, I always drink two glasses of lukewarm water to get things going. Is it really necessary to wait 30 minutes due to the absorption of silicon in the body? In other words, what is the minimum time before you can drink water afterwards?

You should then wait approximately 15–30 minutes before eating or drinking anything else. So, there is no need to wait 15-30 minutes between the intake of water and silicon.
Hello, I've been using silicon for about 3 months now and definitely notice a positive effect. I read that a course lasts 3 months. Can I continue taking it, or is it wise to stop and start another course later? What gives the most optimal effect? Thanks!
On 20 may 2025 by Customer serviceYes, you can safely continue with Bio-active Silicon after the first 3 months. For maintenance, you halve the daily dosage after the initial 3 months. You might also choose to take a break after 3 months. Both options are fine; it depends on your needs and symptoms.
For optimal absorption, you should take silicon on an empty stomach and then wait half an hour before eating or drinking anything. I'm in the habit of drinking 2 glasses of warm water as soon as I get up to get things going. Is it really necessary to wait half an hour, or would fifteen minutes suffice? Otherwise, I'll have to get up half an hour earlier.
