Excellent product and not unpleasant at all! Other brands, on the other hand, have a peculiar taste; this one is pleasant and free from rubbish!
This is already my fourth bottle. This one tastes great and works well.

Why choose Vitaminstore Bio-active Silicon
There are 2 types of silicon used in supplements, namely orthosilicic acid (OSA) and elemental silicon. Orthosilicic acid is a type of silicon that the body can easily absorb. Elemental silicon is pure silicon, as found in sand and stones. This form cannot be absorbed by your body, just as your body cannot digest stones.
For an effective supplement, we use orthosilicic acid, as your body can truly utilise it. Elemental silicon does not work in the body and therefore has no effect.
The Vitaminstore Bio-active Silicon has a delicious vanilla flavour and contains nettle extract for a beautiful synergistic effect of silicon.

Good morning, My 10-year-old daughter has very thin and brittle hair. It even falls out. May she use this product? I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Esther
On 24 october 2025 by Customer serviceThe Bio-active Silicon is intended for adults and not typically suitable for children aged 10. For thin or brittle hair at a young age, it's better to first consider diet and possibly a children's multivitamin with biotin and zinc.
My question concerns the time interval between taking liquid silicon and drinking water. As soon as I wake up, I always drink two glasses of lukewarm water to get things going. Is it really necessary to wait 30 minutes due to the absorption of silicon in the body? In other words, what is the minimum time before you can drink water afterwards?
On 20 may 2025 by Customer serviceIf you are accustomed to drinking 1 or 2 glasses of warm water upon waking, it's best to do this first, and then take the silicon supplement. You should then wait approximately 15–30 minutes before eating or drinking anything else. So, there is no need to wait 15-30 minutes between the intake of water and silicon.
Hello, I've been using silicon for about 3 months now and definitely notice a positive effect. I read that a course lasts 3 months. Can I continue taking it, or is it wise to stop and start another course later? What gives the most optimal effect? Thanks!
On 20 may 2025 by Customer serviceYes, you can safely continue with Bio-active Silicon after the first 3 months. For maintenance, you halve the daily dosage after the initial 3 months. You might also choose to take a break after 3 months. Both options are fine; it depends on your needs and symptoms.
Hello, I've just received this product but I can't find how it should be stored and how long it will last once opened. I'd love to know! Thanks in advance.
On 08 may 2025 by Customer serviceOnce opened, it is best to store the product in a cool, dry place, preferably in the refrigerator. The shelf life after opening is approximately 2 months, provided it is well-sealed and kept refrigerated.
Can I also use this product in combination with blood thinners? Many thanks in advance!
On 03 september 2026 by Customer serviceGood afternoon,
At the moment, there are no known interactions with blood thinners. However, it is wise to discuss this with your doctor, or at the very least inform your doctor if you are going to use it.
