Folate is the biologically active form of folic acid
Folic acid is the synthetic form of Vitamin B11. Folate is the so-called biologically available or active form of folic acid and therefore much more absorbable. Before our body can absorb folic acid, it must undergo two conversion processes. First from folic acid to dihydrofolate (DHF), then to tetrahydrofolate (THF), and only then does it become folate (5-MTHF). When you receive folate in a supplement, it is directly available to our body and thus much more effective!

Quatrefolic®, the fourth generation of folate
Quatrefolic®, also known as the fourth generation folate, has a superior bioavailability compared to other forms of folate. Vitakruid guarantees stability through the binding with glucosamine salt instead of binding to calcium salt (the third generation of folate). The connection with glucosamine salt makes the nutrient more stable in the stomach and intestinal tract, resulting in better absorption of the folate (5-MTHF).

The Active Folic Acid tablets are extremely small. We are talking about a diameter of only nine millimetres, an average weight of 160 milligrams, and a thickness of around three millimetres. Even swallowing several tablets at once should pose no problem!
