Hello, How many consecutive days can you use 5HTP? I've read somewhere that you shouldn't use it for too long, is that correct?
On 28 february 2023 by Customer service5-HTP can be used safely for longer periods at usual dosages. If taking higher than usual dosages, it is advisable to consult with a therapist. Taking 5 HTP is not recommended if you are also taking medications that affect serotonin levels.
The daily dosage is stated as 1 unit, but a study mentions that 750 mg per day is effective for {***} purposes. Is it possible to take several of these per day? Also, I am already using ashwagandha (from Vitakruid), can these two be used simultaneously? Thanks in advance.
On 17 february 2023 by Customer serviceThe recommended dosage for 5 HTP is 1 capsule per day of 100 mg. This dose can be increased up to 900 mg per day. Gradually build up the 5-HTP dose and preferably take the supplement spread throughout the day with meals. 5-HTP can be combined with ashwagandha.
