Top brand
As a woman in my late fifties, I know and feel that my body is no longer 20. Nor does it need to be. To be on the safe side, I take Viridian's D3 because I trust the brand. No unnecessary fillers in it. I always order these from Vitaminstore because they have competitive prices and deliver astonishingly fast. Oh yes, glass jars... I find that important too. So they not only ship quickly but also package it very well. I've never received a broken jar! PS My husband heard from a doctor that a D3 supplement is really important during the winter months, and now I have to share the jar.
My vitamin levels are better now. Great customer service.

According to the Nutrition Centre, the acceptable upper limit of vitamin D intake for adults and children aged 11 to 17 years is 100 micrograms per day. For children aged 1 to 10 years, the limit is 50 micrograms per day, and for children under 1 year, the upper limit is 25 micrograms.
On 01 february 2018 by Customer serviceThe Vitamin D3 (Vegan) 2000 IU (50 µg) is halal in the general sense of the word (it also contains no alcohol), but because the packaging does not yet bear a certification, it states "halal - no".
The importer Solgar has chosen to describe it this way, even though it is quite confusing.
On our page about halal products, the issue is described as follows:
"Manufacturer Solgar has a number of products that have been inspected by an imam from raw material to finished product and have been given an official certification by him. On the product pages and the packaging, this is indicated as "halal - yes".
Because this procedure has not yet been completed for all products, many products state "halal - no", even though the product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. In most cases, those products are indeed halal in the general sense of the word. But because they do not yet have the official certification, it states "halal - no" in the table.
The above also applies to the Viridian brand distributed by Solgar Netherlands. None of the Viridian products contain ingredients from pigs.
The products shown below are halal in the sense that they are free from ingredients derived from pigs or insects, and contain no alcohol."

It is quite common for capsules and tablets to change shape without any change in the contents. For example, because the manufacturer has discovered that the contents also fit in a smaller capsule, or conversely, it has been found that the contents do not fit well in the originally chosen capsule.
I have asked the importer for a response. As soon as I receive an answer, I will let you know.
