I see that this website also violates Dutch legislation on other pages by publishing prohibited health claims and subsequently linking to their webshop.
To return to your question: there is, to the best of our knowledge, no reason to combine low dosages of 5-HTP and St John's Wort with L-Tyrosine. Only at exceptionally high dosages could 5-HTP potentially contribute to an imbalance of neurotransmitters over time.
Hello, my question to you is which supplement is good to use to calm down an overactive thyroid. In my case, it originates from the pituitary gland. I am not receiving medication for this because the GP says that since it fluctuates, it might stabilise on its own. Furthermore, I am not using any other medicines.

The product information for Solgar L-Tyrosine 500 mg states that it should not be used in combination with MAO inhibitors, a type of antidepressant. Dosulepin, the active ingredient in Prothiaden, is a tricyclic antidepressant, which is a different type than MAO inhibitors.
Although technically it is not an MAO inhibitor, we still recommend discussing the use of this supplement with your GP. If you have any more personal questions, I suggest reaching out via email.
