On 15 april 2018 by Customer serviceThe article does not specify the basis for the "10:1" claim. In fact, no sources are mentioned at all.
I see that this website also violates Dutch legislation on other pages by publishing prohibited health claims and subsequently linking to their webshop.
To return to your question: there is, to the best of our knowledge, no reason to combine low dosages of 5-HTP and St John's Wort with L-Tyrosine. Only at exceptionally high dosages could 5-HTP potentially contribute to an imbalance of neurotransmitters over time.
Hello, my question to you is which supplement is good to use to calm down an overactive thyroid. In my case, it originates from the pituitary gland. I am not receiving medication for this because the GP says that since it fluctuates, it might stabilise on its own. Furthermore, I am not using any other medicines.
On 24 february 2025 by Customer serviceIt is important to consult a naturopath or orthomolecular doctor/therapist. They can guide you and also monitor you with the use of supplements that support the pituitary gland and thyroid.
Hello, does this vitamin prevent hair loss? Or do you recommend another vitamin? I'm using biotin, B12, vitD, omega3, and the hair loss hasn't stopped. There is excessive hair loss. Best regards, Suzan Alieva.
On 29 october 2024 by Customer serviceI'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing excessive hair loss. There are various factors that can contribute to hair loss, including diet, stress, hormonal imbalances, and certain medical conditions. To provide you with more personalised advice, I recommend getting in touch via email. This way, we can take a closer look at your personal situation.
Dear Sir/Madam, May this medication be taken with dosulepin? I take one capsule of Prothiaden 25 mg every evening. Thank you in advance for your response. Kind regards, Diane
On 23 august 2024 by Customer serviceIt is important to exercise caution when combining supplements with medication. The product information for Solgar L-Tyrosine 500 mg states that it should not be used in combination with MAO inhibitors, a type of antidepressant. Dosulepin, the active ingredient in Prothiaden, is a tricyclic antidepressant, which is a different type than MAO inhibitors.
Although technically it is not an MAO inhibitor, we still recommend discussing the use of this supplement with your GP. If you have any more personal questions, I suggest reaching out via email.
