For many years, I have been using garlic capsules during the summer months. Not only are they beneficial for circulation, but they also keep mosquitoes at bay.
Product is good for my skin issues!!! Only the scent is strong.

The aroma and taste of garlic is subtle. Great to use! Top!

I purchased this because it says garlic oil on the label, but why does it contain safflower oil? I actually just want pure garlic oil.
On 22 may 2024 by Customer serviceI understand your query. Safflower oil is used in Solgar Garlic Oil as a carrier oil. This means that the garlic oil is dissolved in the safflower oil to improve absorption. Additionally, safflower oil helps to stabilise the garlic oil and extend its shelf life.
It's important to know that despite the presence of safflower oil, the concentration of garlic oil remains high. Each softgel contains 1 mg of garlic oil concentrate, which is equivalent to 500 mg of fresh garlic.
If you're looking for a supplement with only garlic oil, it might be challenging to find one without a carrier oil. This is because carrier oils are often used in oil-based supplements for the reasons mentioned above.

Since I started using these garlic oil capsules a few days ago, I have been experiencing a lot of heartburn. Normally, I rarely suffer from this. Is this a side effect of the garlic oil capsules?

However, the garlic oil itself is quite potent, which may be unpleasant for those with a sensitive stomach. Additionally, for individuals who already experience heartburn, garlic can exacerbate both the frequency and discomfort of the reflux.
The usage advice suggests taking it with a meal. This does not necessarily need to be a main meal. You could take the capsule with a light snack, such as a rice cake or a piece of fruit. Alternatively, you might try it on an empty stomach to see if that is more comfortable. Taken on an empty stomach (or with a light snack), the garlic oil can quickly move further into the intestines, reducing the likelihood of causing any issues in the stomach.
