Aids in muscle recovery. Recommended.
I'm currently on my second bottle, taking one capsule before my workouts and another one afterwards. I've observed that I can complete my workouts with greater ease and recover more swiftly.
Very pleased with the effectiveness
After years of not exercising, I have started training again. I quickly noticed that recovery took longer than I expected. Solgar BCAA Plus provides excellent support for recovery after workouts, and I am very satisfied with it.
Quite expensive, but top quality! Definitely a recommendation (if you have the money for it =) )

There is indeed a very high amount of B6. Can you not develop lasting complaints from too much B6?
On 19 november 2024 by Customer serviceNot everyone. Most people can effortlessly excrete excess vitamin B6, even amounts that are ten times higher than what is contained in these capsules. However, a small minority of the population may not cope well with this vitamin and can experience complaints with prolonged use of a high dosage (complaints that can also arise from a deficiency of B6, as well as several other possible causes, making it difficult to definitively say that B6 was the culprit).
Previously, a daily dose of 200 mg of B6 was considered safe, but this has recently been reduced in the Netherlands to a very cautious maximum dose of 24 mg per day.
Two capsules of BCAA Plus provide 20 mg of B6, which is well within the safe daily dosage. The downside is that the amount of BCAAs when taking 2 capsules is relatively low, totalling 1200 mg. Originally (before the legislative change), the recommended dosage was 4 capsules per day. Solgar is an American manufacturer, which means the formula has not yet been adjusted for the Dutch situation, but instead, the recommended dosage has been lowered. This also applies to several other Solgar products.
There are also BCAA supplements without added B6, such as the BCAA 600 from Vitaminsports. The advantage of that is that you can take a higher dose. 4 capsules provide a total of 2400 mg of BCAAs.
Are there any circumstances, diseases, etc., where one should not take BCAAs?
On 31 march 2019 by Customer serviceNo, such circumstances are not known. BCAAs naturally occur in numerous food items. Dietary supplements provide these amino acids in a concentrated form, but they behave in the body in the same way as BCAAs from natural food sources.

BCAA does not necessarily need to be taken every day, and it is also not required to take 2 capsules each time. This is merely a general guideline.
On 22 december 2013 by Customer serviceOther supplements you might consider using, as an alternative to whey protein (thus as a shake after each training session, and preferably also in the morning before breakfast), include FF Soy Protein 95% tub (Soy Protein) or Absolute Rice Protein Powder.
A good multivitamin is also advisable in this case, as nearly all vitamins and minerals are involved in sports performance and recovery. A good one-a-day multi is the Mega Multi. The Formula VM-2000 is also highly recommended.
