Five drops (based on cottonseed oil) contain:
- Vitamin K1 150 mcg
- Vitamin D3 10 mcg
The Health Council advises giving breastfed babies a dietary supplement with 150 mcg vitamin K and 10 mcg vitamin D from the 8th day. Orthica's Vitamin K & D for infants is formulated based on this recommendation. The first dose of vitamin K is given to the baby by the midwife immediately after birth.

I'm using it for my baby for the second time now. It works effectively, with no side effects, and my baby takes it well. My paediatrician has also approved these vitamins.
I purchased these after reading other reviews, and it appears to be a high-quality supplement from what I've read.
I am pleased with these drops, one of the few options that only contains oil and the vitamins, without all the sweeteners :-)
A fine and pure product for babies. The bottle drips easily to dispense the correct amount.
This is not in use yet, but I am familiar with the vitamin D from Orthica. A very good product without any unnecessary additives.

Dissolved in cottonseed oil. Nothing else.
Free from: Gluten, lactose, soy protein, yeast, sucrose, synthetic colourings, flavourings, and preservatives. Suitable for vegetarians.
The recommended dosage is 5 drops per day, unless otherwise advised. Preferably administer during or after feeding.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Suitable for children up to 6 years old.
Consult a specialist when using anticoagulants.
Store in a dry place at room temperature, out of reach of children.

How long is the product good for after opening?

I would like to know the expiration date of this product before I purchase it. This is because I won't be using it until around March 2021. Kind regards, Angelina

My maternity helper suggested that I should purchase individual K and D drops instead. I mentioned that I am positive about this product, and she tried to dissuade me a bit. Who has experience with it?
On 05 february 2019 by Customer serviceIt depends on whether one allows a doctor to administer the dosage for an entire week at once, or whether one self-administers the daily dosage during that first week.
The daily dosage is 150 mcg of vitamin K, but the doctor/midwife usually administers a weekly dosage of 1050 mcg all at once immediately after birth, as this is simply more practical.
However, if you were to do this yourself daily, you could directly use these drops from Orthica. Otherwise, you would need to wait a week until the 1050 mcg dosage from the midwife has "worn off".
Once you have gotten through that first week, you can continue using these drops from Orthica, and when the child is three months old, you can switch to solely vitamin D3, for example, the Vitamin D3 Liquid 10 mcg (vitamin D in olive oil).

The dosages vary from 45 to 360 mcg per capsule. 90 mcg per day can be considered a good maintenance dosage, although in your case the 180 mcg variant may be recommended. For example, the Super Vitamin K2 180 mcg (MenaQ7).
