Hello! I read everywhere that Chlorella must have a broken cell wall, as otherwise it is not effective/digestible. Does this product have an open cell wall? Thank you in advance!
On 10 january 2020 by Customer serviceIt is indeed true that a broken cell wall exposes the active substances, making them easier for the body to absorb. The Absolute Chlorella Powder Bio Raw from Mattisson has a partially broken cell wall.
The chlorella powder sold by Matissom comes from China and is therefore contaminated. Do you also sell powder from areas that are not contaminated? The term Organic means very little in this regard. Kind regards, Arny

They possess sufficient know-how to create sterile environments or basins filled with completely pure water. Moreover, there are countless Chinese individuals who are passionate about organic cultivation.
This type of spirulina is not harvested in the wild. All spirulina (and chlorella), regardless of the brand or country of origin, is cultivated in controlled environments where water quality is meticulously monitored. Contaminated spirulina tablets are not permitted for sale in European shops. In the Netherlands, the NVWA regularly conducts tests on imported dietary supplements.
However, if you are not comfortable with it, you can also opt for a brand that sources spirulina from places like Hawaii. For both the Chlorella 520 mg and the Spirulina 750 mg from Solgar, the following applies: "Depending on the quality of the supply, the country of origin is Taiwan or Hawaii. In both cases, cultivated in closed freshwater ponds."
