Mineral-rich salt, complemented with algae!
Mattisson's Absolute Celtic Sea Salt with Algae contains a unique combination of mineral-rich sea salt and super healthy seaweed. Algae are rich in various vitamins and minerals, including iodine.
Celtic sea salt comes from France. It is harvested in the Guérande region in Brittany.
It contains a relatively low level of sodium chloride and a relatively high percentage of minerals and trace elements, both from the clay soil and the sea.
After harvesting, the salt is left to dry naturally for about six months, until approximately 10% moisture remains in the salt. It is then directly scooped into the packaging without first being refined, thus preserving valuable minerals like magnesium in the salt.
There are two variants without added algae: the Fleur de Sel (ideal as a replacement for table salt) and Absolute Celtic Sea Salt coarse.
