Orange Pekoe teaJacob Hooy
More about this product
Originates from any region where tea is cultivated, such as Ceylon, China, Indonesia, Japan, or India. It is the top leaf of the mature tea shoot, which is soft, light, and fragrant. Truly good Orange Pekoe has undergone a special treatment. The leaf is carefully picked without damage, dried, and fermented. This is in contrast to the treatment that "ordinary" tea undergoes, which is typically broken, rolled, and cut. The leaf of the Orange Pekoe remains whole and has thus retained all its delightful aroma. This requires a great deal of care in preparation, and there are only a few plantations in Java that are willing to make that effort.
Usage:
For the best result, allow the tea to steep for approximately 10 minutes.
