| 100 grams for short hair, 150 grams for long hair. Stir the henna with boiling water to form a thick paste and add a few drops of vinegar or lemon. Apply this mixture to the hair and massage well. Cover with a piece of plastic and a towel. Leave on for 10 minutes for light hair and a longer time for dark hair. Then rinse with water. Tip: before a complete hair treatment, try on a small strand first. Warning: Do not use on already coloured hair. |

I used this henna on coloured hair and it turned a beautiful red. My roots had both light grey and dark brown hair, which turned a lovely reddish-brown and copper red. I mix a fairly thick paste of 75 grams with warm water and add two tablespoons of vinegar. I leave it in for 2 hours with a plastic shower cap over it. This is enough to colour the roots of thick hair. Contrary to what some sites say, my hair shines well from it. I think it's just scaremongering by trolls.
I use it to colour my hair, works perfectly!
I used henna for the first time ever on my coloured hair (blonde), and I was quite pleased with the result. The roots came out a darker red, which was expected as they were already darker to begin with, while the blonde sections transformed into a vibrant copper hue. The top part of my hair feels soft and shiny, as it had not been damaged by chemicals previously; however, the coloured sections are somewhat dry after the henna treatment. Fortunately, I did not experience any greenish tint, which some people mention might occur. I plan to continue using it and will mix it with indigo to achieve a richer brown-red colour.
