Alka Bath is an alkaline bath salt that aids the body in eliminating loosened acidic waste. Waste acids are expelled by the body through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, and our largest organ, the skin!
By adding the Alka® Bath formula to your bathwater, the water attains an alkaline value of approximately pH 8.5. Acidic waste in your body is expelled through the skin by an osmotic pressure from the inside out.

Dissolves beautifully and makes water silky soft, as well as the skin

I usually buy this regularly, and often I don't even get the chance to use it myself because my parents use it a lot.
The acidic deposits on the skin are neutralised by the alkaline bathwater. As the old acidified epidermis is neutralised by Alka® Bath, the regulating function of your sebaceous glands will ensure a new and optimal build-up of the subcutaneous fat layer. Alka® Bath also contains a beneficial amount of essential minerals and trace elements that are absorbed through the skin. Your skin receives a deep cleanse and can breathe again. After a few baths, your skin will be wonderfully soft once more!

There is also magnesium in it... is this sufficient? Or should you add extra magnesium?
