What makes the BasenCaps special?
The special capsules have a stomach acid-resistant capsule shell. As a result, the ingredients do not come into contact with the stomach acid. The capsules gradually dissolve in the intestines, after which the ingredients are absorbed through the intestinal wall.

Ingredients:
magnesium carbonate, gastro-resistant vegetable capsule (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, pectin), rice fibres, rice flour, zinc citrate
Free from:
Gluten, dairy products, lactose, soy, yeast, egg, animal ingredients.
The recommended dosage is 1 capsule twice a day immediately before, during, or after a meal. For children from 12 years old, the dosage is 1 capsule per day.
Do not exceed the stated dosage. A varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet.
In case of swallowing difficulties, it is advisable to take the tablets only after a meal. In addition, taking them with fruit juice can make swallowing easier.
Keep out of the reach and sight of young children. Store in a dry place at room temperature.

I have magnesium alka tabs on your advice, but can my 17-year-old daughter also take these? Is this, by the way, the best magnesium available?
On 31 march 2025 by Customer serviceYes, your daughter can also use the Alka Tabs Magnesium. This supplement contains magnesium in the inorganic compound magnesium carbonate.
Better magnesium compounds, in terms of magnesium absorption, include magnesium citrate, glycerophosphate, malate, taurate, and glycinate. An excellent magnesium supplement, with vitamin B6 for optimal absorption and effectiveness, is the Super Magnesium.
If your daughter prefers a powder instead of tablets, then the MetaRelax sachets are very suitable. These contain not only magnesium but also taurine, folic acid, and vitamins B6 and B12.

Many people experience diarrhoea with dosages higher than 400 to 500 mg per day. However, sometimes higher dosages are desirable. In such cases, orally ingested magnesium can be supplemented with transdermal magnesium oil.
Alternatively, one can choose to use only Magnesium Oil, but it can be quite difficult (and costly) to achieve very high dosages this way. To obtain 200 mg of magnesium, for example, it is necessary to spray about 15 to 20 times. If one wishes to achieve a dosage of 400 to 600 mg per day solely through magnesium oil, the container will run out quickly, and you would need to undress each time to apply all that liquid onto your skin.
