These supplements help your teenager through the final exams

28 february 2017

The final exam period is often a busy and stressful time. We understand that not only is optimal concentration important, but also minimising stress is crucial at this time. These supplements provide support for relaxation and stress reduction.

For optimal brain function

During exams, nothing is more important than a brain that functions optimally. The following supplements contribute to a good memory and help with concentration!

Super Fish Oil

A well-known supplement that contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function, vision, and normal heart function.

Teen Multi

The complete multi specially for teenagers is one of the newest products we offer, specially for this age group. Not only does this supplement help with the normal growth of teenagers, but it also contains iodine, iron, and zinc, all of which contribute to normal learning ability, memory, and concentration.

Ginseng

The Siberian Ginseng contains dried Siberian Ginseng root powder and contributes to mental and physical recovery. It also supports the immune system and normal blood pressure and is good for concentration and memory.

For alert relaxation

While it's nice to go into exams relaxed, it's important that relaxing agents do not dull the senses and that your teenager remains alert. The following supplements help with this.

Magnesium Citrate

Magnesium is not without reason the supplement of the year, because as you could read in our previous blog it plays a role in more than 300 (!) chemical processes in our body. It helps with bone development and normal muscle function, but also with reducing fatigue and tiredness. It also contributes to learning ability, memory, and concentration levels. Magnesium citrate is one of the types of magnesium available. Read here how this form is best absorbed.

Valerian

Valerian has been used for centuries and is known for its calming effect on mood. The name is derived from the Latin ‘Valere’, which means ‘to be strong’. This might already indicate how powerful the herb is! This supplement provides subtle support for (exam) tension and a restless feeling.

Ashwagandha

This powerful herb is often used in India's herbal medicine, Ayurveda. The active substances are extracted from the root and help with a restless feeling. Because this supplement does not dull the senses, your teenager remains alert. Very suitable for an exam, therefore.

Extra tips for good exam results:

  • Study in blocks of about 45 minutes. Take a few minutes break after each block to close your eyes, stand up, stretch your body, and have something to drink. After such a short break (5 minutes is enough), your brain is ready to store new information again.
  • Ensure sufficient physical activity, preferably in the fresh air. Physical activity immediately improves the blood supply to your brain, providing it with more oxygen and energy.
