I’ve been told it helps with mood 😀
I've been using this product for a long time (it used to be called Mena) and I'm still satisfied. It just takes the edge off for me during my cycle.
Unfortunately ordered incorrectly, it should have been the Meno formula. Gave it to my niece, she is satisfied.
I've been using it for a month now and I really notice a big difference! My cycle is no longer messy, no spotting in between, and my *** and *** are better distributed. I thought I was going through menopause at my age (37) but that turned out not to be the case. My body really needed this to optimise my hormonal balance again. Very happy with it, I can recommend it to anyone experiencing restlessness in their cycle and having complaints about it.
I take this supplement to relieve discomfort before ovulation/menstruation. I have less trouble with {***}. My overall wellbeing is also better.

Can the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill be affected by chasteberry? Or is this only at a certain dosage, and what dosage would that be?
Chasteberry can, in some cases, influence the effectiveness of hormonal contraception, as it affects hormone levels. Although this risk is small, it is often advised against combining chasteberry with the contraceptive pill as a precaution, especially without medical advice. It is best to consult your doctor or pharmacist to determine if you can use this supplement.
A week before my period, I turn into a monster. I am currently taking: Evening primrose 1300 (Solgar) P5P 20 mg (Lamberts) Magnesium (Solgar or store brand) Can I take these as well?
Oh dear, that's not good if you turn into a monster 😉. You can safely take our Mena Formula alongside your other supplements.
What are the differences in the effects of Mood Support and Hormone Support? I'm unsure which one to choose.
Hello Nicolet,
Thank you for your question. The Hormone Support aids with menstrual complaints. It promotes a regular and normal menstruation. It can also certainly help with mood swings and irritability related to your cycle. The Mood Support is aimed at issues such as low spirits, which may not be directly related to your hormone balance. It is uplifting, calming, and can be used in a wide range of situations.
I hope this answers your question and helps you make a choice. If you have any more questions, please do let us know!
The RIVM advises against using dietary supplements containing Ashwagandha. This supplement does contain it. I purchased this product in-store before I was aware of this, and I was not informed either. Why do you not mention this when purchasing the product, and what is your stance on this?
Thank you for your question, and it's good that you bring this up. We understand your concerns.
Why the RIVM warns against Ashwagandha
The RIVM has recently issued a precautionary advice to be cautious with supplements containing Ashwagandha. This advice is based on:
- Some reports of side effects are known. This can occur if you are
- sensitive to Ashwagandha or sensitive to plants from the nightshade family.
- people with liver diseases.
- or are using medication such as antidepressants or thyroid medication.
- or have an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).
It is important to note that this is a precautionary measure, not a legal prohibition. Therefore, we also mention this on the label and on the site.
Why the product is still being sold
Ashwagandha is generally considered safe when used within the recommended dosage and by healthy adults. It is still permitted under European legislation.
There are very rare cases of reported side effects, but there is no strong scientific evidence to suggest it is unsafe for everyone.
We take signals from the RIVM seriously and follow them closely. At the same time, we continue to look at the overall scientific evidence and the individual situation of the customer.
Can I use this for perimenopause symptoms such as hotflashes and night sweats?
This formula contains maca, chasteberry (Vitex), ashwagandha and dong quai, which are traditionally used to support hormonal balance. It may help with symptoms related to hormonal fluctuations, such as mood changes, irritability and general imbalance during perimenopause.
However, for more specific symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats, a formula containing Red Clover and Black Cohosh (Zilverkaars) may be more suitable. For women mainly experiencing vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats) and mood swings during menopause, a Meno Formula with Red Clover and Black Cohosh is often a more targeted option.
