As a major user (2 g daily), I am very pleased with the quick delivery. The capsules are far more practical than tablets.

Vitamin B3 supports energy production as it is part of two important coenzymes in the body: NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and NADP (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate). These two substances activate more than two hundred specific enzymes (dehydrogenases) that are important for electron transport and cellular respiration (dissimilation). Cellular respiration is the process in which ATP (adenosine triphosphate, carrier of chemical energy) is generated in a mitochondrion (the 'powerhouse' of the cell) through the combustion of nutrients. Vitamin B3 can help reduce fatigue. Additionally, it is beneficial for the skin, mucous membranes, the nervous system, and normal psychological function.
There are two forms of vitamin B3, namely niacin (also known as nicotinic acid) and niacinamide (also known as nicotinamide). Niacin is known to cause a 'flush', where the skin becomes red and warm, often accompanied by a burning, tingling, and/or itching sensation. Niacinamide is a form of niacin with an amide group attached and does not cause a 'niacin flush' in this form.
Vitamin B3 500 mg from Vitals offers a high dosage in pure form. The raw material is in a plant-based capsule made from cassava and is supplemented with an excipient from rice.

1-3 years: 150 mg
4-6 years: 220 mg
7-10 years: 350 mg
11-14 years: 500 mg
Therefore, the capsules are suitable for children from the age of 11.
The normal recommended dosages for vitamin B3 are as follows:
6-11 months: 2 mg/day
1-3 years: 4 mg/day
4-8 years: 7 mg/day
9-13 years: 11 mg/day
