I use these capsules because I cannot eat fruit as it makes my mouth burn. Actually, you can never really say whether they help or not with these kinds of capsules. My dietitian reviewed it and found it a good way to replace the vitamins I am missing.
Salvestrol Shield is a fruit concentrate, rich in specific phytonutrients (phytoalexins) that were once abundant in our fruits and vegetables, but are now only present in relevant quantities in organic produce.
Phytoalexins are plant defence compounds that protect the plant against microorganisms, UV light, and insects. The plant produces them in larger quantities only when necessary. Since conventionally grown fruits and vegetables are sprayed with fungicides and other pesticides, they usually have a low phytoalexin content. This is unfortunate because certain phytoalexins (known as salvestrols) have a powerful cell-protective effect and support the maintenance of healthy cells and tissues.
The salvestrol point system is designed to indicate the amount of salvestrols in supplements and food. Different salvestrols have different potencies. The scale of the point system is based on a calculation of the amount of salvestrols present in a historical diet from over 100 years ago, which is equivalent to 100 points. Due to various innovations in agriculture and the food industry, salvestrols in our diet have become scarcer since then.
Salvestrol Shield contains 350 points and is suitable as a maintenance dosage with one capsule per day. For comparison: Salvestrol Platinum contains an extra high dosage of 2000 salvestrol points per capsule.

Phytonutrient complex (Salvestrol®) consisting of kabocha pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima), grape (Vitis vinifera), and citrus bioflavonoids, rice flour (Oryza sativa), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (vegetarian capsule).
Does not contain:
Gluten, lactose, soy, GMO, preservatives, and synthetic fragrances, colours, and flavours.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Take 1 capsule twice a day with a meal and water, or as advised.
The colour and scent of the capsules can vary significantly between different batches. This is due to the fact that Salvestrol® Shield is a natural product, and the colour can vary with the harvest. However, this has no adverse effect on the quality of the product.

On 06 december 2015 by Customer serviceThe Salvestrol Shield can be considered as a maintenance dosage, while the Salvestrol Platinum serves as a treatment dosage or an extra high maintenance dose. In cases of serious conditions, it is advisable to opt for the Platinum variant at a dosage of 2 capsules per day (4000 points), for as long as necessary.
It is not harmful to switch from Shield to Platinum, or to start directly with Platinum.
