MSM stands for methylsulfonylmethane, or organically bound sulphur. MSM contains over 34% elemental sulphur and also includes two methyl groups. Production Method
Although MSM is a natural substance, it would be impractical to extract MSM naturally. So many trees would have to be cut down, which would be undesirable. The raw materials currently used are DMSO, water, and hydrogen peroxide. Through a complex process, DMSO is then converted into MSM. It is crucial that the applied production method leads to a pure end product. Unfortunately, this is not self-evident in the production of MSM. The expensive distillation method, which effectively removes any impurities that may occur in the raw materials, is absolutely preferred over the often-used (much cheaper) crystallisation method.

Synergists
Glucosamine is, among other things, the precursor of various macromolecules such as glycosaminoglycans, proteoglycans, hyaluronic acid, glycolipids, and glycoproteins. These are found in virtually all body tissues, but the highest concentrations are found in cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. The glucosamine in this product is of top quality and from a plant source (corn), not from shellfish. MSM-GC is thus free from many common allergens. Chondroitin (as chondroitin sulphate) is a component of glycosaminoglycans. Vitamin C is needed as a co-enzyme for three different enzymes involved in the production of collagen (the most common building material of the human body). Normal collagen formation is important for cartilage, among other things.
