Microbiol Intimate is an oral probiotic specifically intended for women. It combines the well-known strains Lactobacillus rhamnosus, GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri, RC-14, creating a superior duo. These strains originally come from the female distal urethra (the farthest part of the cylindrical cavity that connects the bladder to the outside of the body). Microbiol Intimate contains 5 billion cfu (colony forming units, meaning the number of viable bacteria capable of multiplying and forming a colony).

Producer Chr. Hansen
Chr. Hansen is the producer of these bacterial strains and has been responsible for much of the research into these specific strains, in the combination they are now offered. This is quite unique and very important! One bacterial strain (indicated by a suffix such as GR-1) is not the same as another, even if they belong to the same genus (in this case Lactobacillus) and the same species (Lactobacillus rhamnosus). Therefore, strain-specific research is particularly telling.

Scientific research
There are more than 160 scientific publications on the combination of the strains Lactobacillus rhamnosus, GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri, RC-14, of which more than 50 are human studies. This makes it the most extensively researched combination of Lactobacillus strains in the world.

Quality and viability
The advanced production process of Chr. Hansen ensures that the capsules are long-lasting in their closed packaging outside of the refrigerator. This is, of course, very handy in practice and in the shop. Moreover, Vitals has chosen dark violet glass (almost black) to protect the contents from the effects of air, light, and moisture. About the name Microbiol
The name Microbiol is derived from 'microbiome'. This is the entirety of all microorganisms that live on and in our bodies, such as the gut flora or vaginal flora. These include lactobacilli, among others.
