The Cordyceps sinensis, as it has been used for centuries in the Far East, grows in places like Nepal at an altitude of over 3000 metres. Since Cordyceps only thrives well under natural conditions at this altitude, this mushroom is very rare. Cordyceps-MRL™ is produced in the United States by a manufacturer capable of cultivating this mushroom for use in a dietary supplement.

Production Process
The cultivation takes place under strictly controlled conditions, allowing both the mycelium and the young fruiting body of the mushroom to develop. Sterile, organically grown rice is used as a substrate, ensuring a final product free from contaminants and undesirable micro-organisms. The base culture used by the manufacturer for each cultivation of Cordyceps-MRL™ actually originates from the Nepalese highlands, giving Cordyceps Organic similar properties to the original wild mushroom. As the final step in the production process, the Cordyceps is dried at a low temperature and ground into a powder. The low temperature is necessary to preserve the natural properties of the present phytonutrients, which would be lost at too high a temperature. There is deliberately no standardisation on a specific content substance because, in the case of Cordyceps, the entire complex of nutrients is important.

Organic
The active ingredients of organic dietary supplements are guaranteed to be of natural origin and not synthetically manufactured. In addition, the production process takes into account the environment, animals, and people as much as possible. Various regulations define what this entails.
