Fine product, does what it should. The taste isn't necessarily very neutral. I wouldn't drink it in just water quickly. But you don't taste it through the coffee. It also dissolves better in hot drinks. In cold drinks, it tends to clump.
It tastes like nothing, easy to process.
Fine collagen powder, dissolves well.
I have been using this brand of collagen for a few months. It dissolves well in the warm water I put it in. I don't find the taste very neutral, but I don't think that of any brand, and those with a flavour don't dissolve well enough. Very satisfied with this brand.
Dissolves well in tea without much aftertaste but it remains pricey!

What type is in the Vital Proteins collagen peptides? I would like an animal collagen powder with type 1 and type 2 in it.

What is the difference between collagen in powder form vs capsules? This label states "proteins" and your CollaCaps does not. How does that work exactly? Does this mean that the Vital Proteins collagen has calories and your CollaCaps do not?

You take the capsules with plenty of water, while the Vital Proteins Collagen can be mixed with either a cold or hot liquid. Furthermore, our CollaCaps contains, in addition to collagen type 1, hyaluronic acid, and MSM, also vitamin C and zinc.
Collagen is a protein, so our CollaCaps also contain proteins. You can assume that the hydrolysed collagen type I makes up about 90% of the total weight of the collagen, so per 3 capsules, approximately 900mg.
Collagen does indeed contain calories, albeit in relatively small amounts. For the CollaCaps, per 3 capsules, that's about 4 calories, and for Vital Proteins, per daily dosage of 20 grams, it's 70 kcal.
When I read the description, I think this is not hydrolysed collagen? Regular collagen breaks down in the digestive tract, so that's quite an important difference. I also believe it's something you should mention because people will compare this with other products, and it may seem like a cheaper alternative when it's actually different and of lesser quality.

Vitamin C contributes to the formation of collagen, which helps to strengthen the skin from within. Both products contain collagen derived from beef and both are pure without unnecessary additives.
