This magnesium citrate is difficult to dissolve in cold water, but it dissolves easily in a bit of warm water. I then dilute the solution with a cold juice or water. I will stick with this product from now on, as it arrives very quickly through the letterbox; so there's no unnecessary packaging or delivery/pick-up hassle. Of course, it’s about the effect, which has already resulted in a better night's sleep and improved mood and energy for me? I've only been using it for a short time.

Good product. No additives, which are usually found in tablet form. That's why I made this choice.
Since I started using magnesium, my sleep quality has improved. Compared to magnesium lactate powder, this is more cost-effective, dissolves better, but is tricky to dose (teaspoons vary in size and how they are levelled off).

On 31 october 2016 by Customer serviceYou might want to use a kitchen scale to check if the half teaspoon indeed contains 2 grams of powder.
Two teaspoons a day is likely too much. This could lead to loose stools.
On 14 october 2015 by Customer serviceSince magnesium binds to stomach acid, taking it on an empty stomach is indeed recommended, but not strictly necessary. Half an hour before a meal is fine. Otherwise, approximately 3 hours after the main meal.
Many people take magnesium in the evening, about an hour before going to bed. With higher dosages (from around 250 mg of elemental magnesium), it is best to spread the intake throughout the day to avoid loose stools. For example, one dose immediately upon waking, and one dose before going to bed.
On 19 july 2015 by Customer serviceIf there are clear symptoms of a deficiency, the dosage can be temporarily increased to 100 to 200 mg (preferably spread throughout the day), provided this does not cause diarrhoea. In small children, the laxative effect occurs at a lower dose than in adults.
On average, a person requires 5 mg of magnesium per kg of body weight per day. For instance, if a 4-year-old child weighs 15 kg, a total intake of 75 mg per day may already be sufficient.
