Vitamin K2 has more applications than vitamin K1
The assumption that vitamin K1 and K2 are forms of vitamin K seems to be a misconception. Various scientists suggest that K1 and K2 differ so significantly that they should be considered as two separate nutrients. Both vitamins play a role in blood clotting factors, but the differences seem to overshadow the similarities. Supplementation with vitamin K2 thus has more health-promoting effects than supplementation with K1.

Vitamin K2 exists in no less than ten forms, MK-4 to MK-14. We exclusively use the most absorbable form menaquinone-7 (MK-7). This is not only the most absorbable form but also the one with the longest so-called half-life. This is the measure of the duration a nutrient remains active in our body. For instance, vitamin K1 has a half-life of only one to two hours. In that time, the nutrient cannot reach all tissues. Vitamin K2 menaquinone-7 has a half-life of over 72 hours, during which the biologically active nutrient reaches the blood vessels, bone tissue, and all organs our body contains!

High dosage of 100 mcg per tablet
Most vitamin K2 supplements have a dosage of 45 mcg per tablet. This is a much too low dosage. In many therapies, K2 dosages of up to 1000 mcg per day are used! If you have a supplement with a dosage of 45 mcg K2 per tablet, you would need to take nearly twenty tablets a day. Especially for people who have difficulty swallowing tablets, this is an almost impossible task.
